BURBANK, Calif. (AP) — As the summer heat wave blankets Southern California, a backyard swimming pool becomes an alluring spot for a refreshing swim.

However, it's not just humans who find it appealing.

Authorities in Burbank were called to a residential area following reports of a bear sighting. Upon arrival, they discovered the bear comfortably settled in a Jacuzzi located behind one of the homes.
Following a brief swim, the bear scaled a wall and proceeded to a tree behind the residence, as stated in a police announcement on Friday.

A video capturing the animal's presence in the neighborhood was released by the police. The neighborhood is situated around 10 miles (16 kilometers) to the north of Los Angeles, near the Verdugo Mountains. Burbank's law enforcement has issued advisories for residents, urging them to steer clear of bears and to securely store all food and garbage to deter bears from venturing into their properties.
